The school Lapérouse is one of the largest institutions in the territory of New Caledonia . This is a general high school who developed the arts and foreign and European Sections languages. This school has a local, provincial and territorial influence. Demand is important and teaching must match this demand. Teacher trainings are not developed locally while the need is strong. Europe may well have a significant action. Teacher mobility to Europe allows the acquisition of new teaching methods in a foreign language , acquire more vocabulary, fluency and confidence in the front of students more efficient . The use of new technologies by partners allows them to develop locally. In this first European program, a person will move at two seminars . It is the teacher who developed the European Sections inLycee Laperouse since 2008. She received the additional certification in 2007. She led European projects in the facility between 2009 and 2011 by participating in a Comenius multilateral project , she coordinates a new project for 2014/2016 . She also trains local colleagues in the various European projects. Both teams are requested with additional training in the teaching of English in order to deepen the practice of language , confidence, motivation and fluency and also certifications about European English language level. The second training involves the practice of English in the teaching of History and Geography. So this one really target the European Sections . The teaching methods will be compared in theory but also in practice as teachers go into classrooms during two whole days . The comparison is also made between different European partners present at the training. Students must have a bilingual competence. Selected institutes organize the preparation by asking participants to prepare a presentation on their teaching methods and read books on Bilingualism and learning methods . A report is made every time. These courses help strengthen bilingualism, performance and motivation of the teacher. Teaching techniques , new methods acquired will be disseminated to other teachers DNL English but also in the arts to develop the idea of the European mobility and exchanges between European teachers . Contacts made at these seminars can find personal and institutions with which exchanges could be implemented in European programs such as Erasmus + Key 2 , but also the use of Etwinning to develop these mobility across of all high school students .
