Development of locations for ecotourism along the River Danube

The project aims to assist the development of locations for ecotourism along theRiver Danube. This enigmatic wording actually means the multipurpose activitiesperformed in the Nature Protection Area of Sas Hill in Budapest. Immediate objectivesof the project include modernization of the Sas Hill Visitor Centre, production of aninteractive nature protection exhibition, renovation of the educational path and thelookout tower, removal of obstacles, publication of a guide in Hungarian and Slovakianon the areas, and development of an environmental education model program. Asa result of the project, an environmental educator was allowed to be permanentlyemployed, thus the Sas Hill facility can be open for visitors on an on-going basis. Aconference was organized on the nature protection monitoring of the area and resultswere published on the homepage of the Danube-Ipoly National Park Directorate Achievements: Please refer to the 'Description' field, which also includes the achievements of this project.
