Development of Innovative Methods of Training the Trainers

The project aims to offer a methodology, guidelines and tools to adult educators in order to develop innovative training modules that will support adult learners' creativity and critical thinking. The project idea is based on:- the fact that methods developing creativity in the field of adult education are not widely spread in Europe;- European policies and recommendations in order to develop and support citizens' creativity and critical thinking as one of the key competences, and also to enable educators to manage change and to adapt to new social and economical conditions;- various pedagogical approaches stating that Art Based Learning helps learners to develop their creative skills and critical thinking;- the awareness that Art Based Learning can enrich and empower other training tools.The objectives of the project will be fulfilled through:- the analysis of the participating countries situation concerning adult trainers training approaches;- the analysis of trainers’ and learner's attitude related to this issue;- the Art Based Learning methodology and their respective training curricula and tools;- a training for adult trainers aimed to enhance their knowledge, skills and attitudes in using art as a means for training practices;- pilot trainings in all participating countries as well as a series of valorisation and dissemination activities in order to spread the knowledge about projects findings on a wide scale. The projects' outputs will be translated in English and in each partners' language, thus allowing the dissemination of results among a larger public.The categories addressed include adult trainers participating to all phases of the project, adult learners participating to pilot trainings, training institutions and trainers from every participating country and anyone interested in adult training at a European level.
