Development of Hungarian-Romanian cross-border excess water control cooperation (MALOMFOK-ROIT)

The project proposes to increase the labour safety of Hungarian-Romanian common Felfogó-channel Frontier drainage system which covers 426 sqkm areas by the efficient importing (in the shortest way) to Hungarian area the 12,6 cm/s quantity water which is ruled by Excess Water Control Regulation which Regulation frames the attachment of the Treaty. On the Hungarian area was studied possibility for water importing at nine places which is 12,6 m3/s quantity water, from which 3,5 m3/s water can be navigated to the Diesel system pumping station in Malomfok. Further objective is to increase the inland water safety of the agricultural area in the common drainage system.The main activities of the project are: elaboration of promotional materials, construction works and equipment purchase.The target groups of the project are: tourists who use recreation services (angling, hunting water sports and ecotourism, etc.), inhabitants of Hungarian-Romanian common Felfogó-channel Frontier drainage system 40.000 people, 426 km2, economic organisations and farmers which work on protected area: 1098 pieces, local governments 15 pieces, specialists and organisations which work in Hungarian-Romanian common flood protection (KÖR-KÖVIZIG, ANIF, other non-profit organisations).
