Strengthen the economic development of the tourism branch in the cross border region of Montana, Vidin and Dolj; Stimulate the tourism activity in the neighboring region of Montana, Vidin and Dolj; To develop and introduce innovative model in the tourism branch which will promote the cultural heritage in the cross border region;To encourage and strengthen sustainable partnership among the key stakeholders in the tourist branch in the target region. Achievements: The project “Development of Effective Models for cultural Tourism in Montana, Vidin and Dolj Regions”, MIS-ETC code 555, with a total eligible value of 473,908 Euro contributed to the social-economical development of the eligible area. The valuable elements of the cultural heritage of the area: cultural, religious and historical resources, folklore, crafts and traditions were brought together in service packages developed in the Montana, Vidin and Dolj border region.The main results of the project were: training for 30 organizations, operating in the tourism branch; two information centres are operational; information package for "Cultural Tourism" was successfully introduced in information centres; contacts among businesses, NGOs, and public institutions Montana, Vidin and Dolj region were strengthened.The travel packages are available on the project website: www.montana-vidin-dolj.com.
