Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The situation of the labor market in Spain , where youth unemployment exceeds 50% , makes it difficult for young people to find their first job. Mobility projects facilitate and expand the expectations of accessing the labor market , both national and European , of students who are finishing their training and recent graduates . The "Developing skills and competences in Europe" project was created in answer to the need for schools to provide their students the opportunity to expand and improve the quality of their training by performing practices in European companies to get in touch with the European labor Market . The close collaboration of the schools in the consortium with the union STEPV ( majority trade union of education) has facilitated the development of this project in response to demand from schools. Moreover, the schools and the union need to establish long-term networks of knowledge that allow them to get in touch with: companies, schools , social partners and local authorities. This will allow them to get in touch with innovation , sharing best practices and knowledge of European policies , improving the quality of their teaching and combating youth unemployment. The consortium is made up of seven institutes of Valencia and STEPV to act as coordinator. The project is designed for 70 students or recent graduates in VET in the of ' Administration and Management ' (Administrative Management ) and " Computer and Communications " ( microcomputer Systems and Networks ). The motilities will be held in Germany, UK, Italy and Portugal.
