Developing New European Training Schemes in the European Dairy Sector

Vocational Training for the European Dairy Sector : The dairy sector faces the challenge not only of modernising its products and practices, but also of harmonising these at European level. Vocational training needs to keep pace with these developments and, increasingly, requires a European dimension. The trans-national partners in this project have responded to this challenge by devising and testing a flexible training programme that incorporates both national and European elements. Proof of its value to the sector is the interest shown by new countries wishing to be involved in the project's progress. This project started in 2000 and lasted 24 months.
