Developing interdisciplinary study materials for architects, mechanical, civil and HVAC engineers, energy experts and installers in order to work together in multidisciplinary teams. (Building Energetics)
Start date: Sep 29, 2011, End date: Sep 28, 2012 PROJECT  FINISHED

In order to facilitate the implementation of the Directive on Energy Performance of Buildings and the 20-20-20 targets set by the EU, the project’s aim is to train and educate architects and engineers in the integral sustainable design approach and encourage work in integrated multidisciplinary teams, addressing the integration of sustainable energy in buildings and built environment in general. Within the project University of Pécs and University of Osijek will be developing the relevant curricula and training programmes for BSc students and Professionals for Integral Sustainable Energy Design of the Built. These curricula are planned to be developed and further elaborated and implemented within national consortia, such as representatives and/or branch organisations of the building sector (constructors, real estate developers, architects, building research institutes, utilities, suppliers, consultants). Achievements: This co-operation in the fi eld of energy efficiency was another in a series of joint efforts of the two biggest universities in the cross-border area. The researchers from the two engineering faculties worked together on developing interactive electronic teaching materials for the fi eld of energy effi ciency. The developed materials, presented at jointly organised conferences, include lectures on passive and active solar systems, energy effi cient lighting, near-zero energy consuming houses and energetics of public buildings and monuments.
