Background to the project The AFEOSZ Secondary Technical School of Commerce and Economics is to launch the IT bilingual training from the academic year of 2014/2015. This project aims at satisfying the needs of the preparatory year of the above mentioned training programme. A definite need is that the teachers participating in the training programme should acquire a basic knowledge of IT vocabulary, that of the theoretical background to IT. Aims of the project The primary aim of the project is to develop the professional, linguistic and digital competencies of the teachers participating in the IT bilingual training programme. A further aim is that with the help of CLIL the participating teachers be able to transfer the professsional content while developing language competencies in an effective way. The content of the project The content is to learn how to integrate ICT and CLIL into the teaching process. The courses focus on providing such knowledge and competencies to the participants, with the help of which they will be able to transfer professional knowledge, as well as develop the students' language competencies. Participants The participants are Dr. Kissné Szabó Anita, Kurusta Anikó and Máténé Varga Gabriella. All the three teachers are experienced teachers in the bilingual training, as they have been teaching the target language as well as subjects through English for several years. All the three of them are dedicated towards their job, motivated, open to the new methodological issues of language teaching. They perform their tasks at a high level and are willing to participate in further training programmes. Stages of fullfilment The institution has selected the teachers and the courses on basis of the above mentioned needs. The knowledge that can be acquired during the courses will help the fullfilment of the project and also meet the long-term objectives of the school. After completing the courses the information will be passed on according to the scheduling in the dissemination plan. Expected results The knowledge and the competencies gained at the courses will contribute to the successful launching of the IT bilingual training without any obstacle. Thus, our institution can preserve its outstanding position in the region. It is the preparatory year during which our students must acquire all those competencies that will enable them to meet the requirements of this bilingual IT programme. Selected courses 1.
