Deutschland in EU: Geschichte des beiderseitigen Erfolges
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2019 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project should deepen the knowledge about EU at the regional level. On the one hand, a single country and its European integration should be in the focus, and the causes and results of the EU involvement and the effects of this process for the EU on the other hand. The project should promote existing EU studies at the Dostoevsky Omsk State University. The basic objective of the project is to show the target group the European integration not as abstract matter, but as individual, on the example of Germany. The example of Germany can prove to what extent a nation as well as the EU as a whole can profit from the European integration. The history of Germany in the EU is a successful history from all sides. Germany became the engine, the core of the European integration both financially and politically, it has played and is now playing a very special and crucial role in the most important EU processes. Besides, Germany profited much as a country: from ruins and misunderstanding on the world stage in 1949 to prosperity, internal and external security. Moreover, its economic prosperity was the greatest success of post-war Germany, and internal political stability benefited the EU integration. EU integration is valuable as the revolution and crucial turn in Germany’s foreign affairs.
