Context/background of the project: We are applying for mobility projects in the field of education for a period of one year with the aim of broadening our ambition of opening our scope in our High School in this term. IES Fuente Nueva is located in a very important area for international trading. We are also completely involved in the internationalization point of view of teaching, seeing that a globalization methodology can be one of the solutions to assessment results and unemployment. Our high school has already participated in two Comenius association projects, several etwinning projects and has organized some different visits to United Kingdom,Greece and Germany. In order to improve our teaching performance and achieve the targets mentioned in our European Development Plan, we need to fullfill some teachers' needs. Objectives of your project: - Improve the teachers' language competence. - Understanding and learning different systems of education, practices and policies. - Mind opening regarding the whole educational community. - Improving teaching performance with innovative technologies. - Creating links with other European teachers in order to continue our internationalisation policy through future job shadowing actions, partnerships and continue with individual needs. In general, as a teaching organization we aim to achieve a more modern, dynamic, committed and professional organisation. Participants and Activities: In the first stage of our project, teachers will take part in summer teacher training courses devoted to improving, activating and refreshing English language learning. Teachers will have the B1 or B2 Certificate in English.Our focus will be on teachers belonging to as many different subject departments as possible, those belonging to the bilingual project or about to. We want to spread our teachers' acquired abilities to all possible subjects and students, that's why the following departments will participate: Economy, Biology, History, Technology, English, Philosophy and Special Educational Needs. The latter is a new thing for our project and we hadn't reached that department with our globalizing aim yet. Give the arise of students with difficulties to learn we have decided to include a teacher who can compare ways of working, exchanging ideas and activities with those teachers proceeding from countries where the results working with these students are being excellent. The second stage of our project will be focused on the attention to good practices, in this case we will carry out job shadowing courses which involve visiting schools in Finland (three of the four teachers taking part in these activities belong to the management board of our school) Methodology to be used in carrying out the project: 1) Setting school and teachers' needs 2) Selecting the teachers according to the points mentioned before 3) Choosing the structured course according to our needs 4)Group work to develop our European Development Plan and fill in the application form A short description of the results and impact envisaged and finally the potential longer term benefits: This ambitious project will have a great impact in our school and the rest of the educational community as it involves many teachers and several different needs and targets accomplished. Long term benefits have to do with the dissemination we have programmed and the quality of the work we carry out after this training courses. At a broader level we will have achieved a wider scope of our teaching performance and the school situation.
