Demokratiutvikling på tvers av landegrenser - utgivelse av politisk blad
Start date: Sep 1, 2015, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Young people today does not have enough to say in the democracy, and one of the main reasons for this is that they do not politically engage themselves enough. With this project Rød Ungdom and Socialistisk Ungdomsfront wish to cooporate in order to raise the political engagement among youth in both Norway and Denmark. The projectgroup will consist of ca. 8 participants from each country who are between 13 and 30 years old, who will paricipate in the transnational project meetings and will work with the project all the way. The project participants will have different backgrounds, the same goes for the indirect participants, the people that recieve the political magazines. All direct and indirect participants will be youth in Norway and Denmark. The main activity in this project is to publish three issues of a political magazine in both Norway and Denmark. The issues will be coordinated between RU and SUF, and they will have the same themes. The themes for the issues will be: Inclusion -equity, Environment and climate change and Youth. We want to focus on issues that applies in both Denmark and Norway, in addition to international problems that are important across the whole world, for example environment and climate. We will have three physical meetings, two in Norway and one in Denmark. The project meetings will take place before publishing each issue of the magazines. 8 participants from each country will attend these meetings, and these participants will be youth under 30 years old. We will also have continous communication via mail, skype etc. Young people will be leading in this project in addition to being the target audience. The results of this project is that thousands of Norwegian and Danish youth will recieve the magazines and hopefully become more interested in politics, so that they will want to involve themselves more in the democracy. This will in the long run contribute to encourage youth to take more place in the democracy, which will be healthy for both Norway and Denmark as democratic states.
