This project is promoted by Futuro Prossimo, and the main theme is youth participation. It aims to promote the active participation of young people in democratic life, in line with the priorities of the fifth cycle of the Structured Dialogue.The idea of the project originates from the need to encourage young people to reflect on the meaning and the way they perceive democracy and the exercise of democracy at local level as well as to propose an tools for participation, among which emerges at local level the Structured Dialogue, in order to devise strategies to reform policies that best promote participation in the social and political life of the Country.The main objective of the project is to contribute to better understanding of the motivations and interests of young people between 13 and 30 years old, based on the motivation, active participation and involvement in the democratic as a self empowerment process and contribution to the community. A process that at the same time offers young people the opportunity to be active promoters of the project.To do this will be identified the young people between those interested in the project and, supported by facilitators and experts, theywill form the Working Group, dealing with the text of the online consultation process to be administered to a large number of youngpeople (at least 3000) and to evaluate in a final report the collected data.Activities will take place in a remote mode and tw meetings will be held in Rome. The final report will be reported in an e-book that will be presented by some of the young spokesman for a final meeting withrepresentatives of institutions and civil society.The methodology is designed to enhance the participation and role of young people, their interests and expectations. The methodological care will in fact make young people the real protagonists of the project, encouraging them to express concerns and reflections and enhancing their conclusions.At the end of the project the material produced (paper, photographic and multimedia) will be published online and accessible to young people and all those who are interested in exploring the topic.The expected impact of the project involves everyone involved in the proposal: the participants will have the opportunity to comment on an issue that involves them directly on which policy maker and young people are reflecting on a European level, trying to better understand the reality of young people; the young people involved through the consultation will be indirectly stimulated on the issue of youth participation and sensitized on the Structured Dialogue; finally, institutions will be able to better target, thanks to hard data, strategies Youth Participation in Italy.
