Start date: Aug 1, 2015, End date: Dec 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our eleven-day-training is located in the culture and education center Raul Wallenberg and takes place from 31.08.2015-11.09.2015. We expect trainees from Germany, Romania, Netherlands, Serbia and Italy, who have experiences in working with youth and young adults. Under the title " Dealing with migration: Chances and Challenges for European youth work" the participants will learn, try out, discuss and evaluate a large variety of pedagogical approaches to deal with migration, antiracist education, stereotypes, trans-cultural communication and conflict management. In order to deal with the wide range of pedagogical approaches the training involves activities such as doing excursions and guided tours, watch films/movies, work with creative and artistic methods or try out methods of anti-racist education or trans-cultural education. All of the activities in the program have the common factor of applying the trainees actively within the context of intercultural learning. The training promotes pedagogical approaches in dealing with challenges and opportunities in trans-cultural and pluralistic societies. The language of communication during the training will be in English.
