This project is composed of two different sub-projects, both divided in three mobility flows. The first sub-project, dedicated to our trainees in masonry (apprenticeship and master craftsperson), concerned two mobility flows, one in 2015 and another in 2016. A second sub-project for trainees in jewelry (master craftsperson) with one mobility flow in 2016. Masonry: Trainees had the opportunity to be trained for three weeks in “Scuola Edile di Perugia”. They could work on a school building site called “Pieve Del Vescovo”. Our trainees go there for about four years now, in the framework of this project. A certain part of the construction site is reserved to them. This gives us the opportunity to follow the advancement of the work and to include our trainees in a more long-term vision. They had the opportunity, through this work placement, to improve their basic skills but also to get used to the specific work of old buildings’ restoration. In additions to that, they had the opportunity to visit some very interesting places such as Florence, Rome, Assis, Trasimène Lake, and Perugia) Jewelry: Trainees went to Vicenza for three weeks. They had the opportunity to have some courses at “Scuola d'Arte e Mestieri”. They had an introduction to “enamel” work and one course on engraving, which aim is to get used to “setting” work of gemstones. This week was followed by a work placement in a local company. The aim was to enhance their basic skills and get used to engraving methods. They could participate to some professional visits. One at Primavera Cooperative 85 where handicapped people realize a jewelry collection. They could also visit the brand new Vicenza’s jewelry museum. As far as cultural visits are concerned, they have been for example to Venice and Verona. In both cases, the main objectives of the projects were similar: - Improve their professional basic skills in a new environment - Learning new techniques that are not included in their initial training pathways - Discovery a new region, a new culture and open their minds to diversity. - Provide an initiation to Italian language We can say, on overall, that the objectives have been reached (based on their reports and our debriefings sessions) Regarding organizational matters, we could follow the process we initially defined in the application form.
