Start date: Oct 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project is aimed at 25 students studying Rural tourism that undergo vocational education and training. It also includes 15 qualified and experienced teachers who teach at vocational level in Tsanko Tserkovski Vocational High School of Agricultural Technologies.Key Activity 1, Students mobilityTsanko Tserkovski Vocational High School of Agricultural Technologies is a state school subordinated to the Ministry of agriculture and foods. It dates back to 1921 when it was established. The Vocational school is situated in the Central Region of Bulgaria, Veliko Tarnovo district. The specific activities of this organization are training students in sectors of: tourism, rural economy and forestry education. The students have acquired initial theoretical knowledge and skills of practice according to their profession before project’s implementation. Parts of the practical trainings are held in local family hotels. Companies’ owners that use graduates from the region identify needs for skilled graduates with better experience and contemporary knowledge. Young people that graduate from school do not meet business requirements being not competitive. It happens not only at our labor market’s level but also at the European one. Employers refuse to recruit them for practical training and to hire them later. Due to financial and objective reasons, it is hard or even impossible practical trainings to be held in real work conditions despite teacher staff efforts and desires. Young people should be provided with opportunities to behold, acquire and apply in future their achievements and experiences observed in developed European economics. The current project aims at contribution of enlargement of the already acquired initial vocational skills. In addition, its objective is to increase students’ chances on the labor market.Activity 2In Tsanko Tserkovski Vocational High School of Agricultural Technologies are conducted educational courses coordinated with the Employment Agency, framework № 111. The purpose of these courses is training of agricultural producers, validation of vocational qualification acquired by informal education. Most of the learners do not possess a certificate \diploma\ for secondary education but they are willing to become self-educated in the sphere of rural economy which is developing in the region. Qualification courses and post-graduate qualifications are of constantly rising interest. Parts of the people on the labor market are not qualified properly and as a result they seek ways to improve their knowledge and to gain new competences. Thus, the training they would implement must be relevant to their needs and abilities. It can only happen by integration \synergy\ between formal and informal education.Teachers that teach vocational training must provide learners with a level corresponding to their development and at the same time relevant to the European standards. However, at this point teachers are unable to utterly accomplish it since Bulgaria is not experienced enough in synergy. Teachers are not very well skilled in terms of vocational knowledge synchronized with the European requirements. When teachers incorporate the skills acquired and knowledge gained during their mobility they would increase the vocational training’s quality. Long-term potential benefitsYoung people would be given better chances for job finding. Furthermore, their self-esteem and responsibility would increase as well. The extent of coordination between our high school and Artes srl would go up as well.At a regional level we anticipate that our school’s prestige would grow so as to continue teaching new learners. In terms of final outcomes’ stability we would like to apply the multiplier effect; i.e. the high school takes responsibility to transmit the experience gained for future activities. After finishing the mobility the acquired competences would be announced within the school, also at local, regional, national level, e-twinning and incorporated in pedagogical approaches.
