The age range is 18-30 of 26 young people who took part in EVS with the said project (average of age is 23). Besides, most of these young people who live in town centers were not aware of the European opportunities. A few of the youngsters who aware of the opportunities had no hope to benefit from the project. Even though 23 of them are graduate students, it didn’t seem possible to go abroad due to the economic conditions and traditional family structures. However the project’s conduction by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality assured to the families and ensured the involvement of the young people living in the town centers and villages to the project.
As part of the project, 4 volunteers (2 Romanians, 2 Portugueses) took part in the EVS. In spite of terrorist incidents occurred in our country, these young people convinced their family about the safety of Antalya with the support of partner associations and so, four volunteers were hosted by our institution. These volunteers who are graduate students and their ages are between 22-25 haven’t visited Turkey before. They came to our country for the first time with this project.
