The ‘Rákóczi Theme Road’, covering three countries, is an important part of preservinghistory and also cultural tourism. Within the framework of the project, the roadleading to Sárospatak Castle was re-paved, the Italian Bastion was reconstructedand a garden was built. A military exhibition was organised in the Casemates, aRenaissance kitchen was opened with a baking house and an oven with traditionalfurniture and equipment. Within the overall theme road, joint marketing publicationswere also produced from the support. The results were summarised in a final conference.Programmes were designed and organised for the visitors encouraging them to visitthe attractions, while the museological activities museologists were expanded with thediversified cross-border co-operation.
