Cultural Exchange – Sharing Differences Towards United Cultural Development

The objective of the project is to build a sustainable cross-border cultural cooperation between the citizens from municipalities of Nevestino and Dojran through formalization, securing and popularization of cultural and folkloristic heritage and tradition, and building tolerances towards cultures of different ethnos in both regions. More specifically, the following is envisaged:- Securing cultural and folkloristic tradition and creativity of different ethnoses and conveying to the next generation- Popularization and media coverage of the cultural and folkloristic tradition and creativity from both regions- Mutual learning of different cultural traditions’ specifics and creativity in both regions in order to achieve tolerance and respect of different cultures- Establishing sustainable grounds and friendship for artistic appearance in the field of visual creativity (photography, painting, and video) and cultural and folkloristic tradition. Achievements: 1. Small-scale infrastructure was constructed - the new established Cultural-Informative centre in Nevestino was supplied of furniture and IT equipment and will be used for organization of different cultural performances (dances, theatres, music) to the wider auditoria. There are exhibition stages for cultural workers for presentations of cultures of both Bulgarian and Macedonian partner regions;2. Small-scale infrastructure was constructed - the new build Small Summer stage in Dojran will be used for organization of different cultural performances (dances, theaters, music) and exhibitions of cultural artistic works; 3. Selected 40 young students trained in identification, analyzing and recording of cultural and folkloristic heritage: 20 young people from Nevestino and 20 young people from Dojran trained in different subject areas - folklore, local cultural tradition, artistic creation and photos; 4. Organized and carried out 2 3-day workshops for cultural exchange in Dojran and Nevestino: 40 young students presented their local folklore each other and exchanged their cultural traditions;5. Two-day joint presentations of the achieved results by the youths during the international folklore festivals "Struma Pee" in Nevestino and "Dojranski Rakuvanja" in Dojran; 6. Identified, recorded, presented and demonstrated cultural folkloristic heritage of two regions through: implemented information and visibility activities under the project; created joint project website; printed information booklet and brochure concerning cultural heritage with collected data for folklore on both sides of the border, song lyrics, description of traditions, photos, paintings and drawings developed during project implementation.The project has been successfully accomplished in 03.2013.
