Cultural diversity for Social inclusion

The project „Cultural Diversity for Social Inclusion” comes with an innovative and creative approach to attract young people with fewer opportunities for involvement in cultural activities to contribute to their development and social inclusion. Kasta Morrely Association will organize the international training „Cultural Diversity for Social Inclusion” in Iasi, Romania on 16 - 26 September 2014 with the participation of 28 youth workers and youth leaders from Albania, Armenia, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine. The project aims to accomplish the following objectives: - Training of 28 youth workers and youth leaders as resource persons in the development of intercultural cooperation skills and social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities ; - Increasing the participants' understanding and responsiveness to cultural diversity and social issues in the represented communities; - The creation and development of an organizational strategy for social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities through cultural activities; - Developing the capacity of the project promoters from Programme and Partner countries, achieving joint partnerships and encouraging the cooperation between NGOs and decision makers in the cultural field to include young people with fewer opportunities The training activities based on methods of non formal education are complementary to provide the participants a learning process based on practical skills development, exchange of experience and good practices, receiving information from experts, and others. Among topics addressed in the activities we exemplify: youth with fewer opportunities, cultural diversity, strategic planning, organizational management, cultural, social and linguistic differences in the European area, the development of competences, Erasmus + Programme and others. The methods used will include: conceptual delimitaion, SWOT analysis, presentations, inputs, take a step forward, sketch, exchange of good practices, workshops, World Vaffe, braistorming, debate. Among the results of the project are trained youth workers to act through cultural activities for social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, training kit, organizational strategy for inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities through cultural activities, development of partnership between partners organisations, project blog, project movie. At the end of the training participants will receive Youthpass certificates. As a long-term impact, the project aims to develop the capacity of participants and promoters to organize local, national and international projects that address the issue of social inclusion of young people through cultural activities.
