Cross regional training program for vocational education in the field of traditional way of architectural building (CREDU)

This project aims at regenerating cultural heritage within the cross-border regions targeting young generations, local population, organizations, educational institutions, tourist boards, museums.  Its objective is to enhance interaction between pupils from vocational high schools in the towns of Cakovec and Nagykanizsa, to develop a joint training programme (practical and online education) and to create a mutual handbook on best practices in the traditional way of architectural building in Međimurska and Zala region Achievements: Two schools from the region joined in the exploration of common heritage, specifically of traditional buildings in Zala and Međimurje County. Within the joint research, which included site visits, examination and digitalization of the technical documentation, the students of the two schools interchanged their experiences and learned from each other in joint exercises. From the research resulted a catalogue of traditional buildings which was presented to the public through an exhibition trying to raise awareness of the need for the preservation of built heritage.
