Cross-border operational service for preventing emergency situations (FiReMan)

The general objective of the project is to achieve common institutional development, in order to improve the management system of emergency. The need to improve the emergency management, especially related to fire problems, and to reduce the damage caused by fire, is a common problem, identified on both sides of the border. In order to address it a joint operations center for interventions was established.The specific objectives of the project are linked to organizing trainings for the staff and informing the population to prevent emergencies but also on how to self-defense.The main activities of the project are the following: acquisition of equipment (office and specific equipment), renovation of a location for deposit and for the center of emergency management, training and study development for pupils in educational institutions, preparation of an action plan for emergency situations, organizing trainings for volunteers and study development.The target groups of the project are the 2 municipalities and 35 voluntary firefighters as well as 100 students from the 2 settlements who were directly involved in the project.
