Cross-border model for nature conservation and sustainable use of the natural resources along the Danube (Toghether4Danube)

To improve nature protection and contribute to sustainable use of natural resources in the Bulgarian-Romanian cross-border region along the Danube Achievements: The project Cross-border model for nature conservation and sustainable use of the natural resources along the Danube, MIS-ETC code 660, with a total eligible value of 326.000 euro, contributed to nature protection and sustainable use of natural resources in the Bulgarian-Romanian cross-border region. Through this project a biodiversity sensitivity map, an interactive internet service and 10 site-specific monitoring schemes were developed, 21 on-the-job trainings and 13 seminars for local volunteers from region Nature 2000 were organized. Also, 300 guides for hunters for the identification of protected species, 1 bilingual publication, 500 birdfeeder guides, 500 bilingual brochures with biodiversity sensitivity map were drafted.
