Identification of the barriers to successful cross-border collaboration between SMEs in Nord Pas de Calais and Kent and methods of overcoming these barriers, based on a case study of a proposed collaboration between AVITA (Nord Pas de Calais) and Cross & Wells (Kent). Parallel to this case study, a study of the ship replenishment market on both sides of the Channel Tunnel to be conducted by the University of Kent in collaboration with AVITA and Cross & Wells. Dissemination of the findings of the case study and the findings of the market study via a "best practice guide" for collaboration between SMEs in Nord Pas de Calais and Kent plus a report on the ship replenishment sector, supported by workshops mounted in collaboration with business support agencies on both sides of the Channel.
