Creation of third cycle studies - Doctoral Programme in Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology

The project is designed to advance capacity in education, research, innovation and exploitation of knowledge in the area of Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine through cooperation with European Universities within a framework of Doctoral Programme.To meet this overall objective, the project team will:- introduce advanced Bologna-compliant Doctoral Programme in Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology (REET) at eight partner Universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine by November 2011;- develop a web-based Joint Platform for REET Doctoral Programme as a multi-disciplinary and multiple-stakeholder innovative learning environment for research education;- improve education and research capacity in the area of Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology through teacher training and Doctoral Summer School;- reinforce the links between universities, businesses and social partners to facilitate technology transfer and innovation.- ensure visibility of Doctorate Programme REET among stakeholders in Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, BiH and EU.- ensure continuity of the Doctoral Programme and joint REET platform beyond Tempus Programme funding.The project will be finalized with four dissemination Conferences "Education-Research-Innovation in Energy and Environmental Technology" in BiH, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine. The eight universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine represent different geographical areas of the countries, which will ensure the great distribution of PhD student population and wide impact of the project results on sustainable development of many regions of partner countries. The long history of cooperation between academic and non-academic partners of the project will become a stable background for successful project implementation, mutual learning and cultural exchange.
