The project includes the elaboration of the Joint Strategy for Rural Development and Action Plan for the border region, based on the already existing Local Strategy for Rural Development in Hungary, and the Local Strategy for Rural Development of Osječko-baranjska county, to be elaborated within the project with the help of knowledge transfer from the Hungarian partner. Achievements: The close co-operation of the two border communities was the building material for the elaboration of such a joint development strategy that pointed out the many possibilities of the cross-border region in the context of the European Union. The experiences of the Hungarian partners were an invaluable asset in trying to summarise the potential of the region in the rural development area, mainly their prior work within LEADER initiatives, which were transferred to the Croatian Local Action Group formed within the project.
