The reason for the project derived from the immediate need of the retail sector for qualified human resources with enhanced competencies at EU level. In this context, the partners’ aim is to increase the quality of human resource by updating of Vocational Qualifications (VQs), adapting training programmes and testing of certification methodologies from previously implemented projects at EU level to the retail sector. The project will contribute to the enhancement of the quality of VET systems. Thus in the long run, this will contribute to the “free movement” goal of EU as standardization will lead to mobility of workers and employability in EU participation in the European Labour Market.
