The strategy directed within the project is grounding on constructing buildings and recreational areas on the green fields which cannot be used or underused due to the specific problems and therefore increasing their efficiency. In this context, in Edirne paths for jogging-tracking and cycling, an open exhibition area, a field for beach volley and a camping area are built. In Elhovo, one mini football field, two tennis courts, one basketball field, a landing place for canoe and a car park are being built and canoes are purchased. Following the opening of sports complex, reciprocal competitions are to be held, joint camps are planned to be set which facilitates cultural exchange between the athletes from both countries. Achievements: The project increased the attractiveness of Edirne and Elhovo by creating new opportunities for sport, relaxation and tourism activities.In the park area in Edirne tracking and cycling paths, beach volley, picnic and camping fields and open exhibition area have been created. Electrical wiring and lightening have been installed as well. In the park in Elhovo a basketball field, two tennis court fields and one mini football field have been built. Canoe scaffold was constructed at Tundzha river coast. Lighting and asphalt paths have been created.After the completion of the infrastructural project areas, sports competitions were organised between sportsmen from Bulgaria and Turkey in both countries.The project has been successfully accomplished in December 2012.
