Craft Your Own Success
Start date: May 2, 2016, End date: Feb 1, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

With our youth exchange Craft Your Own Success we want for young people with fewer opportunities to raise awareness about importance of tradition, craftsmanship and the concept of self-sufficiency for the young population in the modern world and to enhance their understanding that engagement in such activities allows development of skills required by the labor market and brings new opportunities for an independent career. They will acquire basic entrepreneurial skills and reinforce critical thinking about the consumer society and will be encouraged to more sustainable lifestyles.By using methods of non-formal learning (social and creative workshops and games, debates, outdoor activities, teamwork, etc.) we're going to encourage intercultural dialogue, and strengthen critical thinking, as well as create a safe environment for development of young people’s talents, creativity, and for acquiring crafts and entrepreneurship skills. The main result of the youth exchange will be fair in the center of Jesenice where participants will present to the local community what did they do at the youth exchange (their products, gained knowledge, traditional craftsmanship from each country) and Erasmus+ program. There are going to be 20 young participants with fewer opportunities on our youth exchange (aged 18 - 25) from 5 different countries (Italy, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia). All organizations are sending and hosting youth with fewer opportunities on our youth exchanges. So we are well prepared for such youth, and are providing them with needed attention, giving them the opportunity for social inclusion and fitting into the society.Young people are going to be a part of every activity on the youth exchange, which will strengthen their self-worth, and therefore lead to increased self-confidence and independence. By interacting with a group, and being creative in an international environment, they will be under intercultural learning process, which will positively impact their tolerance, and accepting differences. Together with their European colleagues, they will develop their own concept of European citizenship. What is more, by acquiring new skills, they will increase their potential for employability.
