Cours de français intensif FLE
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Amarins Woltring is a French teacher at the school CSG Dingstede in Meppel, The Netherlands. She teaches in the higher forms who are being prepared for college and University. She is also a DELF-coordinator. Since 1,5 year DELF (diplome for French language studies) has been integrated in the school. DELF is a programme with the main goal to offer students the possibility to obtain a higher level of the French language, thanks to the fact that the whole study program is given in French. No Dutch is allowed. At the end of the school year, the students will pass exams and will get an internationally recognized diploma. Given the fact that the students receive French education at a higher level, it is very important that the teachers themselves also improve their language skills. That's why Amarins Woltring wants to participate in a three week language course in France; the course has to be proved by the Common European Framework of Reference, so it is internationally acknowledged. This way Amarins wants to improve her language skills and learn more about the French culture. The newknowlegde will help her to teach better and help the DELF students to improve there French communicative skills. During the course 'Cours de français intensif FLE' Amarins will be get a supplementary training in: speaking, writing, listening, reading, grammar, vocabulariy and culture. After the course, she will implement everything she has learned in her own French lessons at CSG Dingstede. She will be able to speak better French with the students and the DELF student will even better be prepared for their DELF exams. When a teacher improves her (communicative) languageskills, the students wil improve their own skills and eventually get higher grades for their final exams. The DELFstudents will be better trained in the different languageskills and it will be less difficult for them to prepare the DELF exams. Language teachers that are better informed about the newest language and cultural developements , will be an asset to the school, now and in the long term. They will be able to learn the language in such a way that is didactically and pedagogically sound. They will internalise the language in the way native speakers do. That's why a language course is a very good way for a teacher to improve there knowledge and language skills.
