We seek to use varied teaching methods with a strong focus on our students. The school wish to contribute to every students personal and professional development. We cooperate every day with local, regional and international partners so that our students develop the necessary skills in a world in change. We use financial and personal resources in the school to maintain an international focus. It is important for our school to give the students international experience. This is important for several reasons: On the national level it is important that Norway develop a future oriented work force with skills not only in oil and gas industry (which has been an important part of Norways financial success), but in new sustainable areas. On the regional and local level the school is situated in a district with long traditions in producing food and having a large tourism industry. When our students go abroad they learn skills that are useful in developing a modern, sustainable business in Larvik and Vestfold. The students will get proffesional and personal experiences which put the Norwegian society in perspective. Larvik needs these students that come home and reflect upon the differences in culture, language and skills. The cooperation with the Hospital IMED Levante in Spain will give the health-workers a uniqe insight in how health related work are done in a hospital outside of Norway. They will observe and learn skills in many areas when working in the hospital, among them surgery and general medicine. The students from our programs Restaurant and foodprocessing and Tourisme will be working in international environments with workers from many countries. When they get international experience as students they will become even more outgoing, curious and brave, just as the schools values. Some previous students have taken their apprenticeship in other European countries after having been on an Erasmus+ exchange.
