Count Me In
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project "Count Me In" is designed as further education for those who work with people with special needs in the art and cultural sector. The project is going to be held in Gaia Museum of Outsider Art in Denmark. The organization has been a strong advocate for outsider art and for integrating people with special needs into the work field. They think that in spite of some social and individual disabilities every European Union citizen has a right for further education. The course helps to find new methodologies how to teach people with special needs through art, it broadens the minds and skills of the participants and teaches how to find co-partners in Estonia, as well as EU. There will be three people participating in this course. All of them teach people with special needs through art. Because art is one of our organization's main focus, we think that we are the appropriate target group for this course. Our goal is to use the methodologies we learn in our art workshops and through that help people with special needs to integrate into work field. The course "Count Me In" consists of lectures, workshops, study trips and sharing personal experiences. In order to have a successful project we are communicating with our partners regularly, also we will organize our travel assurance and flights. In a longer perspective we hope to continue our partnerships with other participants in order to strengthen the equal opportunities of people with special needs in every aspect of life. We are planning to write about our course experience in social magazines. Also we are going to show our skills through workshops.
