Coracle - Creative Oracle (Coracle)

CORACLE has been developed to provide additional higher level skills to the creative and cultural sector. The project aims to maximise the economic, social and cultural value of the creative and cultural arts to the regions of South West Wales and South East Ireland. The partnership will work with practitioners to foster knowledge exchange and develop new enterprise opportunities. Training will be provided in all aspects of event management, creating opportunities for exchange of best practice, and improved awareness of environmental management, legislation and social inclusion. Specific focus will be on the importance of both Welsh and Irish and the culture of each region, identifying the potential economic value. The CORACLE project will: •Promote, provide access to, & develop higher level skills for creative artists & festival organisations,•Stimulate entrepreneurship opportunities for creative & cultural arts students from both regions, with particular emphasis on the potential for interdisciplinary & interregional collaboration,•Promote wider economic regeneration through optimising the value of the creative arts & the distinctive culture of both regions to the tourism economy,•Promote the value of social inclusion through the creative & cultural arts by supporting access for socially, physically or economically disadvantaged groups,•Provide opportunities to exchange expertise and ideas between creative & cultural arts practitioners, academics and students to enhance innovative enterprise development,•Promote best practice in sustainable use of resources in the development of enterprise opportunities.
