Such topics are: 1. Get familiar with new technologies in the industry. 2. Promote research and innovation. 3. Get to know new materials and new machines of the wood industry. 4. Get familiar with Cad-cam software for design and CNC machines. Apart from the goals mentioned above, this project gave our students from middle and lower economic class the chance to gain new experiences overseas, to obtain new knowledge and skills that will eventually use them in their future professional life. In key Activity 2, members of our teaching staff participated in an educational conference in Zagreb subjected " Education and ICT - Where do teachers Go? ". This conference gave the opportunity to two members of our staff to acquire new knowledge and skills but also exchanged ideas in the educational area of Information and communication technologies (ICT) and new teaching paradigms which are reshaping education. This international Eco-media Europe conference provided a forum for teachers, practitioners, researchers, administrators and decision makers from schools, vocational schools, and universities to exchange ideas, experiences, opinions and research results about innovative teaching and learning methodologies. It was an ideal opportunity to share experiences in the field of educational innovations, new technologies applied to education as well as learning and teaching methodologies with emphasis on the cohesion and mutual benefit of the ICT and education. The main objective of this activity, was that it allowed teachers to get educated in new educational approaches and teaching methods and to promote the use of ICT in their classroom and school. Teachers and students through this project enhanced their inter cultural awareness, and helped them to have a better understanding and responsiveness regarding, linguistic and cultural diversity and also upgraded their satisfaction and motivation in their work. Moreover, it enhanced the development of the students’ professional skills, as well as their personal development. Their inter cultural competence improved by travelling for the first time abroad and by experiencing the culture of a foreign country. Moreover, our school has been given the opportunity to establish a solid cooperation with TEI Thessalias-Department of Wood & Furniture Design and Technology in Karditsa.
