Cooperation for Equal Opportunities for People with Intellectual Difficulties

The project strategy includes the implementation of a series of activities to: - identify the specific areas in which cooperation between Bulgarian and Macedonian organizations will be most beneficial (especially in good practices and legal requirements), - increase the competency and awareness of professionals working with people with intellectual difficulties (by developing specially designed training programmes) - improve information and communication flow between Bulgarian and Macedonian organizations and institutions in the field of working with people with intellectual difficulties, - raise the awareness among employers about hiring people with intellectual difficulties. Achievements: The overall objective of the project was to facilitate the integration of people with intellectual difficulties on the labor market in Bulgaria and Macedonia through strengthened cooperation of institutions and organizations involved.  Conducted cross-border analysis of the attitude of establishment of common social services; Increased opportunities for cross-border collaboration of organizations and institutions working with people with intellectual difficulties; Improved capacity of professionals working with people with intellectual difficulties in the area of training in employment skills; Informed business representatives about the specifics and benefits of hiring people with intellectual difficulties; Developed joint informational system; Informational and publicity events held.
