Search for European Projects

Continuous Professional Development in the Use of ICT Tools in Collaborative, Project-Based Teaching and Learning
Start date: Jun 25, 2014, End date: Jun 24, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

In our previous projects, we have seen that students are fascinated by the differences and similarities between each other. They always express the wish to know even more about Europe and all the countries there. By including information about Europe and European projects in our everyday teaching (for example, through eTwinning), as a normal part of their learning, we can help students in their search for this information. Therefore, it is vital that more and more staff at our school (and other schools) take part in such European teaching courses in order to improve not only their own ICT skills, but also those of their students and colleagues. It is not difficult to integrate such projects into the students' working plans and eventually becomes a natural part of their planned work. Our school needs more people working actively with internationalization. In order to do this, Hemne secondary school (HVS) has written its own plan of campaign for Internationalization in the form of an official document that is continuously updated and checked. This quality plan is the basis of our international work at the school and is something that the leadership and the school in general takes very seriously. It documents the projects that have been done and those that are planned for the future. It shows the school's goals and ambitions within the area of Internationalization and is linked to the county's plan for Internationalization. Such European courses as this one in Malta are one of the important ways in which the school can continue its support of Internationalization through sending its teachers to attend and thereby improve their ICT skills, as well as their cultural competence skills.
