Continuous Professional Development in the Use of ICT Tools in Collaborative, Project-Based Teaching and Learning

"ICT for Collaborative, Project-Based, Teaching and Learning Course" is addressed to teachers who want to improve the quality of their teaching and learning through acquiring and implementaion of new teaching methods such as: adopting a project-based teaching and learning pedagogy., exploitng opportunities for collaborative work on project and acquiring skills for planning and managing collaborative projects.
The course includes a component related to eTwinning and the collaborative use of technology in project work. It also includes a practical session for partner finding and project registration from among participating teachers form different European schools.
During the course participants will learn how to create multimedia objects, how to design and carry out successful eTwinning Projects, how to use ICT to process images and sounds and will also learn the theory and practice of podcasts and movie animation in education.
Additional component, European Dimension will also be present in the course. A professional cultural programme over two afternoons and evenings with a professional guide will be provided and course participants will give presentations about the country of their origin to other participants.
Prior to the course the organiser will assist the participants of the course in the practical arrangements such as travel and accommodation arrangements and will create an online community to discuss areas covered by the course and where course participants will be able to communicate with other course participants from other European schools.
Participants of the course will be provided with teaching materials in printed form and on USB Drive for future use.
After the course, participants will maintain contact with the course provider regarding the added value of teaching, putting the newly acquired skills and new pedagogy to practice, which will be evaluated by the school principal, other teachers and the local community.
In-house presentations and courses of projects and practices carried out by teachers participating in the course will be organized for other teachers and will be widly disseminated among other schools.
