Content Development of the SME related Services and the Establishment and Operation of a Unified Business Development Network (SME Network CB)

In November 10, 2009 the Banat-Triplex Confinium EGTC (European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation) had been established.The promoters of the cooperation are: The Municipiality of Mórahalom (HU), the Municipiality of Magyarkanizsa (SRB), and city of Jimbola (RO). Municipialities, taking on the leading role in the present project, have many years of joint and successful work relationship in the area of economic-, and territorial development. The leadership of Mórahalom and Kanizsa have undertaken to provide institutional, organizational support in the making of partnerships, the generation of projects, and in the development and realization of joint systems of the concerned regions along the Hungarian and Serbian border. The expected results of the project: Audit of organizations providing developmental services to SMEs in Vojvodina, and the South-Plain; Building a network of developmental organizations which are responsible for providing services to SMEs, trainings with the involvment of professional trainers in the following topics: Corporate finance, economic law, EU integration, quality assurance, public procurement; Defining a uniform SME service network; Further training courses for professional trainers working in the centrals: finance, economic law, EU institutions and their functions, Liabilities, economic and financial investment requirements, going public; preparation of business plans; preparation of export plans; preparation of financial monitoring plans; Establishment of an SME Development Center in Mórahalom/Kanjiza. Achievements: The professional staff of co-ordinators and projectmanagement was backed up by an external team of experts who were of significant help todevelop the study on the Establishment of Hungarian-Serbian Unified Development Networkoperationthat shall serve as good basis for the projected strategic plans relevant in the SMEsector for the regions involved in the project, on both sides of the border. Moreover, the collection of data happened during the workshops and trainings, and inconsultation with the responsible people in the project.The nine business/financila/marketing plans written by Ex-Ante also in close cooperation with theentrepreneurs considered shall help the strengthening of the private sector, providing that theSMEs shall share their experience in their own network of partners.On a wider scale the achievements of the project is by far the result of data collection in theregions' SME sector, which is of course not a final notion but a good ground for the furtherenrichment of the list and providing a portal for cooperation between entrepreneurs across theHungarian-Serbian border.The cooperation between Morahalom including its development office ÖKTKE (formerly HÖKTE)and the Municipality of Kanjiza, including ICR and SMEs on both sides of the partnership hasbrought new connections and exchage of experience in the SME sector, which is important forSerbian SMEs to get aquinted with the policies of the EU that is in connection of their job profile,and to prepare themselves for future calls for proposals that have funds directed only for SMEs.The development centres are established on both sides and work in their relevant fields.
