The project supported the economic development of Bácsbokod and Bácsborsod,indirectly promoting investments in the two villages. The goal is to attract twonew foreign investors with the help of the new wastewater treatment plant until2010. Another important objective is to double the number of tourists every year aftercompletion of the project. By promoting the principles of environmental protectionand sustainability, the development of agriculture, tourism and traditional economicmethods is given priority for which modern wastewater treatment is a basic requirement.Therefore the funding has been used to build the wastewater treatment plant with acapacity of 1000 cubic metres/day.
