The primary objective was to lay the groundwork for a major project that will include the elaboration of the permit plans of a flood control overflow reservoir, an environmental impact study, and a joint Hungarian-Romanian flood control model and plan. This project is vital, as it could prove to be the thing that saves the special natural environment of the unique and wonderful Túr and Öreg-Túr rivers. The support funding allows us to improve the environmental situation and increase the protection of this geographic area against floods of the Túr.
