Complex impact study of HU-SK-UA border regions on the use of biomass

The organisations taking part in the programme implemented a trilateral joint project.By reducing the emission load and using renewable energy sources and biomass, the cross-border co-operation increased and co-ordination also strengthened, agreat deal owing to the involvement of the competent authorities. A GIS database wasalso purchased in the framework of the project in order to prepare the study describingthe potential use of biomass in the border regions. The data were standardised andexperts were also involved in the work. As a result of these efforts, the cross-borderactivity focusing on the utilisation of renewable energy sources and effective use ofbiomass became better accessible.
