Competitive Entrepreneurship By Lifelong Learning And Business Cooperation (COOP EDU-SHIP)

Business ineptness and poorly equipped life-long learning centres are the main cause for dissatisfaction among region’s entrepreneurs. The aim of the project is to enhance the competitiveness of Latvia–Lithuania border regions by eliminating the obstacles to its development. Therefore, business and education support centres will be created by renovating premises of life-long learning institutions and obtaining necessary equipment. It is planned to activate the business environment, create sustainable life-long learning curriculum and cross-border cooperation between entrepreneurs. Objective will be reached by implementing a research on ways of increasing effectiveness of cooperation among life-long learning institutions and entrepreneurs based on foreign experience. Training and experience exchange trips for potential entrepreneurs will be organized. Cross-border cooperation network will be established. Hence the role and technical performance of the life-long learning institutions will increase to match the needs of entrepreneurs and demand for exporting, innovation-driven companies.
