The aim of the project is to develop a community-accessible and powered news portal based on a web 2.0 engine. The goal of the portal is to share community news in the border region, as the community reporters on both sides of the border see it.The main activities of the project are: setting up the community news portal infrastructure, operation of the news portal, organizing on the spot trainings for the community reporters and elaboration of e-learning materials. There are three direct main target groups of the project:1. Local and regional media: We will encourage local and regional media to use the articles published in the portal. Thus, media players will have a free access to a large source of information and news. Also, greater publicity of the text will be achieved, therefore the spreading of information and knowledge could be ensured more efficiently.2. NGOs and governmental organizations working with the elderly and disadvantaged: Our project will help the work of numerous organizations, which will be able to involve people into a community activity and to supply them with information about their environment, therefore mobilize a socially excluded population.3.
