General objective of the project is to achieve balanced sustainable development build upon the key strengths of the Bulgaria-Turkey cross-border co-operation area in contribution to stronger European co-operation and integrity. Specific objectives are to build a capacity for sustainable use of natural resources, cultural and historical heritage, to increase target groups’ awareness about archaeological and cultural works and lead permanent cultural cooperation. In order to reach the objectives project focus on: needs of using natural resources and cultural/historical heritages on both sides. Aims are to create collective information pool of heritages, train volunteer culture and tourism messengers, provide cultural and territorial integration, and encouraging cross-border cultural mobility. Achievements: The project increased the awareness of young people in protection and usage of natural, historical and cultural values in both cross-border Municipalities.Three 2-months trainings of 120 young people on “Preservation of cultural and natural heritages” have been organized in Vize and Sredets. A web page – www.ccbb-tr-bg.org and database of trainees have been created with information about the cultural and natural heritage in both municipalities.A “Cultural and History Festival” has been organized in Municipality of Vize with the participation of representatives of the project partners, young people and trainees. The project has been successfully accomplished in June 2012.
