Comment assurer la continuité pédagogique de l'enseignement de l'anglais lors de la liaison CM2/ 6ème
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

I am the headmistress in a small rural school of 4 classes. I teach English to my 9-10 year old pupils and to my colleague's 5-6 year old pupils. I would like to develop a project to enhance relationships with the district school and to work with my English teachers colleagues. We thought about writing an album in English, on the pattern of "Pek a Traveller Flea"described on the School Education Gateway platform . It will give the pupils of both schools opportunities to meet, exchange and cooperate to produce a common album. A task-oriented project will bring sense to what is required from our pupils. As for the teachers, we'll work on defining common goals, and harmonizing our teaching methods. This line of work will be followed in parallel with my colleagues in our school. I will take this opportunity to share my newly acquired knowledge in creating innovative teaching methods and setting up motivating projects. I believe in proposing cultural activities, inclusive teaching methods, as for a small school like ours, remoteness must not adequate with isolation. My goal is to broaden our pupils' vision of their surroundings and to allow them to meet other cultures and ways of life. In addition to improving their standard in English, this project intends to develop a feeling of belonging to the European Community in our pupils.
