Art painting has its own voice in the feelings¿ world. Through it, people from very different mental abilities and different social backgrounds can communicate and interact. Art painting and artistic expression means much more than an aesthetic activity, but it also leads us to an emphatic and therapeutic zone. Our project ¿Special artist through Europe¿ propose a therapeutic work in handicapped students throughout drawing, painting and plastic expression. This project wants to help students with special needs and several kind of emotional and cognitive problems, to whom learning process often leads to stress and frustration. We can summarise as following the aims of the art therapy.1. To Increase the student¿s chances of expressing themselves and interact with others, as well as improve their understanding of the environment. 2. In the process of artitistic creation, we want to help them to build positives and grateful experiences and adopt better attitudes towards life. 3. To Integrate a very special artistic activity in the normal European society and its art merchandising.The project consists of two stages:1. The art therapy work in the art studio. During this stage we focus in the methodology of the creative process, in the student¿s creativity and spontaneity, and finally, in the quality and proper use of materials and tools.2. The exhibition of the paintings and plastics works. Collective, individual and itinerant exhibitions will be taken place in the different participating Comenius countries.
