CONTEXT: “Trento 7” Comprehensive School welcomes a great quantity of foreign pupils with problematic family contexts. Moreover, there are pupils with learning difficulties and social disadvantages. Consequently, the inclusive organization of the school accomplishes special projects to adapt the teaching approach to the individual special educational needs. OBJECTIVES: The project is going to train a group of teachers on teaching and methodological strategies in order to support weak students and to avoid school drop out. PARTICIPANTS: Partecipants are twelve: five teachers of the primary school, five teachers of the secondary school (teaching Italian and Maths); they are training tutor and leader teacher in their classes and are tutoring students with special educational needs. There are also a leader group and a german spoken training tutor. ACTIVITIES: Job shadowing in two German partner schools specialized in supporting pupils with special educational needs. Observation of good practises METHODOLOGY: Select project teachers and training activities for the task; Thinking about job shadowing experience and draw consideration with the training tutor; produce report of the training experience for colleagues; evaluation and dissemination of results RESULTS: knowledge of educational german school system; knowledge of good inclusive practices and how to improve basic and life skills; dissemination of methodological and organizational strategies; improving teachers' motivation; know how about training system evaluation; improve innovation in school departments LONG-TERM BENEFITS: -support teaching and methodological innovation -enhance an international dimension of education and training through cooperation with our german school partners.
