Leonardo Lyceum SITO5 in Antwerp and Hatice Sezer Anadolu Ögretmen Lisessi in Manavgat (Antalya) are situated in two cities where history says its past, present and future story at every corner. Both cities have a long tradition in tourism. Our project wanted to exploit the resources of this industry in order to offer our students a closer approach to the professional training needed in the multi-leveled industry of tourism. We created for students the idea of the international TABA Holiday Resort ( T for Turkey, A for Antalya, B for Belgium, A for Antwerp) that they had to found, administrate, promote and fill at every level with the necessary experts. Our students worked in national and international teams, explored their local tourist resources, shared and obtained expertise in a specific job area. Through job shadowing, students learned to practise as in a real life job related to the tourism industry such as: waiter, chef restaurant, bartender, manager, animator, spa administrator, etc. The pupils conducted job interviews, made job profiles and applied for jobs in their own resort. This will hopefully help them to a better insertion on the local and the international job market.During the two years of the project pupils first focused on introducing each other and communicating on the project. In both schools Turkey-Belgium days were organised to inform parents and all people involved. Afterwards language lessons started and students prepared the project work by exploring their home country's tourist possibilities through organising activities to warmly welcome their partner school guests. Students themselves prepared guided walks through their country's cultural towns, made folders, brochures and PowerPoint presentations to introduce their hometown and country. As the highlight of the project we organised four class exchanges in March and April 2013 and April and May 2014.
