COLABORA - Self-Training on Collaborative Learning Scenarios

COLABORA aims to design and implement a multilingual, web-based knowledge portal for the self-training of professionals within European SMEs and to allow the exchange and acquisition of new knowledge by this target group. The main objectives of the project are: to design and implement this knowledge tool to allow the creation, location, selection, organisation and generation of new information and knowledge, focussing primarily upon EuroQuality, EuroMarketing, Human Resources Management and Health & Safety at Work; to provide professionals within European SMEs with a flexible and dynamic lifelong learning flow, through the exchange of knowledge, information and good practice from a range of different business areas/sectors.Following an initial viability study, the outline, structure, and range of services for the portal will be defined, to include agreement upon the hardware, software, site contents and actual training tools to be hosted. The portal itself will host all end products to include: a self-evaluation tool for professionals within SMEs, a good practice guide (referring particularly to training in the workplace) and a training methodology outlining options for training, use of training tools, self-management with the overall aim of promoting the culture of self-training in the workplace. All products will be available in EN, ES, IT & RO.The platform will be launched, at the end of the project, to raise awareness to all relevant professional bodies and this will be supported by a virtual congress, a series of e-mailing and the production of an outline project leaflet presenting the activities and results of the project.
