CoCreART: CoCreation Across Europe

CoCreation: 'The process of working together towards a common creative product'.CoCreART will explore the concept of CoCreation as a tool for enhancing the participation of disadvantaged adults in Lifelong Learning throughout Europe, exploring how this concept is interpreted in different European countries; how it is used in practice, and how it can be used. Through visits to partner countries where working practices will be explored and practice learned, and through practical workshops with disadvantaged groups from partner countries, the project will challenge the preconceptions that surround disadvantaged groups, raise awareness of the contribution they make to the community, both at local, national and European level, contribute to the the acquistion of key competencies for lifelong learning, and enhance European co-operation. The project has evolved from a need for all partner organisations to explore new methods of working within their organisations, particularly in ways that may have a beneficial impact on their learners and improve their inclusion into social and creative activity. The project is a Learning partnership where all partners will learn from each other, taking best practice from all partner organisations and countries, evaluating this and disseminating it both within their own organisations and on-line across Europe to other groups and individuals involved in inclusive working practices, sharing ways of working and offering enriched outcomes for disadvantaged learnersAn intrinsic part of the project will be to involve learners at all levels, providing them with the confidence and self esteem needed to take steps along the pathway to further learning and empowering them to make informed choices about their own future goals.
